Main Street USA

Inspired by Walt Disney's hometown of Marceline, Missouri (as in the film Lady and the Tramp), Main Street, U.S.A. is designed to resemble the center of an idealized turn-of-the-20th-century (c. 1910) American town. Another significant source of inspiration for the Main Street, U.S.A. concept came from the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, which Walt Disney visited twice in the 1940s. The names painted in the windows on Main Street serve as credits for some of the many people, Imagineers and others, who contributed in some way to the creation of Disneyland. Largely they appear as fictional businesses (gyms, realtors, dentists), and they often refer to a hobby or interest of the person honored. Ub Iwerks's window, for example, refers to his prowess with cameras. For those of us who remember the carefree time it recreates, Main Street will bring back happy memories. Hidden Mickey Found	There are several doors and windows advertising fictitious businesses along Main Street. One of them is called "Disneyland Casting Agency", and it has two Mickeys on it - top and bottom. UPDATE: This window is to the left of Main St. Cinema, at ground level. It's not on the second floor where most of the windows are.

Hidden Mickey Found	In 4 small little corners of the bicycle pushed food and beverage carts, you will notice these little Mickey symbols. I think it might be considered small enough to be Hidden. If you aren't paying attention, you might not even notice them. UPDATE: The sticker has changed, but it's still on the carts ... and it's still pretty small. You have to look for it.

Hidden Mickey Found	There is a fruit cart at Center St, and it has a Mickey underneath in the frame.

Hidden Mickey Found	On Main Street, there are several green trash cans. There are hidden Mickeys on each one. UPDATE:  They are actually Recycle cans and the Mickey is inside the arrows. Not sure if this is Decor or a Mickey. CONFIRMED: The eye is drawn to the flourishes, not the Mickey ... which is very small, and easy to overlook. Definitely deliberately hidden.

Hidden Mickey Found	Take a right turn when you get to Market House (aka Starbucks). Go down the street a little more and just before the lockers you’ll find Hotel Marceline. Look in the display window and there are some shelves with a cow, milk bottles, and a few other things. Take a close look at the cows on the milk bottles and an even closer look at their spots. These are not ordinary cow spots. As you can see in the pictures there is a Mickey with the cow spots.

Emporium

Hidden Mickey Found	There's two Hidden Mickeys in the globe of this mural, which is found behind one of the cash registers in the store. One is the Sorcerer's Apprentice, and the other is the classic tri-circle Mickey, upside-down. UPDATE: I haven't gotten an updated photo yet, but this mural is definitely still located at the cash register between the exits.

Hidden Mickey Found	If you look above one of the exit/entrances you'll notice a large clock in the shape of Mickey! UPDATE:  It's upside down, but it still looks like a Hidden Mickey.

Hidden Mickey Found	Go towards the back and find the toy room section that has a train going around the top. You might have to watch the train go around a few times as this hidden Mickey only appears every 3 times the train goes around. In one of the corners there is a water tower. When the train goes by the water tower it stops every third time and a little Mickey head lights up.

Hidden Mickey Found	This is a mural behind one of the cash registers, and in the back globe is a Mickey holding hands with Walt.

Fortuosity Shop

Hidden Mickey Found	There is a Mickey carved into the woodwork. CONFIRMED: I spoke with a Cast Member, and he indicated that the woodwork in the store is hand-carved, and that it can take months to replace if any damage accidentally takes place. One of the other Cast Members on the register indicated that this was indeed a Hidden Mickey.

Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor

Wishful Thinking	Along the back walls of the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, there are sconce lights. The brass base of these lights form Mickey heads. WISHFUL THINKING: This looks like "common brass styling". Also, the ears and head are almost the same size.

Hidden Mickey Found	In the glass signed on the window that spells out "Ice Cream Floats", look for a painted Mickey hidden in the "A" in "Floats".

Penny Arcade

Hidden Mickey Found	The Cast Member who maintains the Welte Orchestrion in the back of the Penny Arcade was thinking about how to create a Hidden Mickey for it, but I sped up the process by spotting one in the sign to the lower right. The sign shows when the next song will be played, and has a very tiny Hidden Mickey at the top center of the sign. Don't hit your head on the glass trying to see it -- but it's small!

Hidden Mickey Found	There's a neat Pinocchio-themed game in the Penny Arcade on Main Street. It only costs a quarter to pull Pinocchio's strings, who is controlled by pushing four buttons. There is a decorative Mickey hidden on the game's control panel, under the title and between the buttons.

Silhouette Studio

Hidden Mickey Found	The silhouette frames have several Mickey heads in them. Looks like eight per frame.

Wishful Thinking	While discussing Hidden Mickeys in Geppetto's Toy Shop, the Cast Member commented that the wallpaper in Silhouette Studio is very reminiscent of Mickey. In her opinion, the choice must have been intentional. UPDATE: I see what Meg is talking about ... and it seems like just a coincidence. But the Cast Member I spoke to, who had never heard of Hidden Mickeys before, thought that these wallpaper Mickeys counted.

Main Street Cinema

Hidden Mickey Found	In the Main Street Cinema as you enter, look down at the lights illuminating the steps. They are all Mickeys! CONFIRMED:  All of the lights on one side are Mickeys. Only 2 of 6 are Mickeys the second side. UPDATE: All six of the lights on the stairway as you enter are Mickeys.

Hidden Mickey Found	There's a rope trick sold from the front counter in the shape of a Hidden Mickey.

Hidden Mickey Found	In one of the window cases is a Houdini display, and in the display is an Ace of Clubs that has been modified to be a Mickey head. CONFIRMED: It's in the left display case as you face the store.

Partners Statue

Wishful Thinking	I saw a Hidden Mickey on the Corn Dog truck on Main Street! Look at the sign on the window that says "Corn Dogs." The "D" makes the head and the two "o's" are the ears!! I know the D isn't perfectly circular but I don't mind that, I only care that the ears are properly sized and place and these look great! WISHFUL:  The D and two letter Os on the Corn Dog Truck do not form a Hidden Mickey. The D is a D, not a circle. UPDATE: I'm on the fence on this one. It might be a coincidence, but those ears sure look good on the sign.

Hidden Mickey Found	Around the statue of Walt and Mickey there is a little statue of dumbo sitting on a ball. Dumbo's back legs make the ears and the ball makes the head.

Wishful Thinking	On Walt's right hand there is a ring that makes a Hidden Mickey. WISHFUL: It is a "Claddagh" ring, a traditional Irish ring in which a heart represents love, the crown stands for loyalty, and two clasped hands symbolize friendship.

Plaza Inn

Unknown	A few feet inside the Plaza Inn is a small wall candleabra. A cherub sits at its center. If you tilt your head slightly, the head and left wing or the cherub form Mickey's ears and the torso makes his head, with the right arm making a smile. Check out the picture and I think you will agree.

Wishful Thinking	Upon entering the Plaza Inn, look around at the wonderful Victorian decoration. Follow the intricate woodwork to the corners of the archway. There are three circles together, with a slight spread between one pair. UPDATE: By standing on the porch of the Plaza restaurant look at the edging of the filigree that surronds the porch. Little Mickeys are all around by looking out at the edging. My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon and made it a part of our stay to search them out. WISHFUL:  It's a standard trefoil, with no additional spreads or whatever.

Unknown	Near the exit doors are light fixtures that have three lights. If you up at the light covers, you'll see a Mickey.
