Fantasyland

Fantasyland is one of the "themed lands" at all of the Magic Kingdom-style parks run by The Walt Disney Company around the world. It is themed after Disney's animated fairy tale feature films. Each Fantasyland has a castle, as well as several gentle rides themed after those Disney animated feature films. Fantasyland was said by Walt Disney to be his favorite land in the park: What youngster has not dreamed of flying with Peter Pan over moonlit London, or tumbling into Alice's nonsensical Wonderland? In Fantasyland, these classic stories of everyone's youth have become realities for youngsters – of all ages – to participate in.-- Walt Disney In 1983, Fantasyland received a major facelift (dubbed "New Fantasyland") and the attraction façades changed from a Renaissance motif to a fantasy mock up of a Bavarian village, similar to the European setting of many of the fairy tales Walt adapted. The area was expanded to allow for more space between attractions. Here is a land of imagination, hopes and dreams. Fantasy Faire

Hidden Mickey Found	On the far left side of Clopin's Music Box, there's a small Mickey on the second window from the left. CONFIRMED: This one is VERY TINY, and hard to see. It's on the far left, at the lower part of the box. There's two windows side by side, and the Mickey is in the rightmost window.

Pixie Hollow

Hidden Mickey Found	Near the base of the Pixies Welcome sign, found in the Pixie Hollow queue, there is a Hidden Mickey carved into the signpost's bark. It's near the signpost that says, "Faeries Welcome".

Hidden Mickey Found	On the pathway leading to the Pixie Hollow entrance, there are several bonsai trees on the left. If you look at the tree with three balls on it from a certain spot on the path, you'll see the Mickey head. That's a lot of work to keep that Mickey looking good, as bonsai trees are a lot of maintenance.

Sleeping Beauty's Castle

Unknown	While walking towards the castle entrance, there are lots of Mickeys in the iron railings on both sides. Not sure if this is intentional, but they look pretty good to me.

Wishful Thinking?	At the back of the Castle (and directly above the bronze spike in the ground, that used to mark Disneyland's center), is a hanging light fixture made of iron. Note, the very bottom-most part of the fixture and you'll see a bronze-like circle with two circular rods forming the ears. This may not have been an intentional Mickey, but the basic shape is there. MAYBE: Look at the picture and you be the judge. UPDATE: Added a photo. It's a pretty good Mickey, but the question is whether it's deliberate or an accident.

Snow White's Enchanted Wish

Unknown	While boarding Snow White's ride there is a mural painting on the wall in front of you. A hidden Mickey jumped out at me. It's made up of three bushes, they distinctly form a hidden Mickey.

Unknown	Before boarding, in line, a hidden Mickey can be made out of three bunches of leaves at the top right of the front mural. CONFIRMED: Just before you board the "cart", in the tree by the house at the bottom right there is a bunch of leaves in the form of Mickey Mouse.

Hidden Mickey Found	I was at Disneyland yesterday and asked the Hostess about the Hidden Mickey on Snow White. She replied, "I can't tell you but if I was you I would look at the turtle." Towards the beginning of the ride, you enter a room in which Snow White is going up the stairs and a turtle is following her. On the turtle's shell, there is one large circle in the middle surrounded by smaller circles. The two at the top form Mickey the ears. It's there! CONFIRMED: The hidden Mickey is on the turtle's shell at the beginning of the ride in the 2nd room.

Other Hidden Character: WICKED QUEEN Found	Next time you are waiting in line at the Peter Pan attraction, look up at the turret on top of the Snow White attraction. Every thirty seconds to one minute or so, the Wicked Queen opens the curtains, looks down on the crowd for a few seconds, and then pulls the curtains closed again. Sometimes, it is easier to see this at night. Very few people notice unless they know to look up and wait for it to happen.

Other Hidden Character: TINKERBELL	In the mine, when you approach the mine car full of jewels on the left, there's a Tinkerbell on the wall behind the mine car, to the left of the red jewel being held up by a dwarf.

Pinocchio's Daring Journey

Unknown	When you are about to get on the ride, look where the Cast Member controlling the ride is sitting. Directly above the Cast Member is a octagon shaped window with a design of circles in it. It has a row of big circles and then a row of small circles and it does this all the way up the window. The circle rows do not line up on top of each other but instead they go between the two circles from the prior row. This design forms about 35 or so Hidden Mickey's I'll do a count next time I go. Many other places in Fantasyland have windows with circle designs in them but only this one uses two different sizes which is required to make a Hidden Mickey. WISHFUL THINKING: In the octagon shaped window with the design of circles in it, it is my understanding that patterns aren't true Hidden Mickeys. UPDATE: Above the operator are some windows painted on the wall. You can make out a head and some ears. The windows are circular and all the same size. It looks like Mickey Mouse with over-grown ears.

Unknown	At the beginning, there is a dancing Pinocchio puppet. As he is dancing look at the shadows his feet are casting on the floor, they form a hidden Mickey.

Unknown	Just after Monstro the whale pops up, there is a fake stone wall on the left side. About half way up on the stone wall, there is a grouping of stones that are very clearly a Mickey. There is a large one that is the head, two smaller ones on top for the ears and even a smaller one that makes up Mickey's nose.

Unknown	After passing the carnival scene and right after the two foxes you should see a wall directly in front of you. On this wall there should be a clown who is juggling. Next to him on the right is a large jack-in-the-box. Between these two things there are balls of different colors painted on the walls. A purple ball makes up Mickey's face and two smaller balls (yellow and blue) make up his ears.

Unknown	Notice the room with the pool table between a quarter and halfway though the ride. As you are exiting the room with the pool table, look back onto the wall behind the table and you will see a shadow on the wall. This shadow is Mickey's shadow, however, unlike most hidden Mickeys, this is a profile view rather than a frontal view so you will see his nose stick out and the side of his face.

Unknown	In the room where you see the Pleasure Island Bad guy in a booth (I think he's supposed to be selling tickets) on a banister pole, on the right side of the car your in, there is a Mickey. Its so clear I wouldn't even call it a hidden Mickey. Its on a wood banister and the Mickey is black and sticks right out, you can't miss it.

Unknown	Once you enter the room with the "When you wish upon a star" music, if you look for the main star in the sky, if you look carefully in the center, you see a really small perfect Mickey! It's kind of hard to see since it's the same color of the star and small.

Unknown	At the end of the ride, there is a painting on the wall of Gepetto in his workshop. The window has an upside down Hidden Mickey. The second circle on the top row is the head and the two smaller circles in the second row are the ears. CONFIRMED: On Pinocchio's Daring Journey, at the end of the ride before you exit, there is a mural on the wall of Ghepetto and Pinoccio. Look at the window, it is made up of circles and on the ledge there is a jar with paintbrushes in it. The jar makes the head and two of the circles in the window make the ears!

Unknown	Near the end of the ride, there's a fish near the top of a glass globe sitting on a wooden stand. A Mickey is carved into the right side of the flat upper part of the stand.

Hidden Mickey Found	In Gepetto's Toy Shop on the right, there is a long ship in a big wooden case. The top of the case has a Hidden Mickey fashioned into the framing. It may not be on the list because it is in a rather dark corner. CONFIRMED: As we were riding along we thought we had missed it but at the very end of the ride we saw the ship and then saw the Hidden Mickey right on the top of the wooden case.

Peter Pan's Flight

Other Hidden Character: NANA Found	About 2/3 of the way through the line, there's a little wooden Nana mounted on one of the wooden pillars. There are several of these wooden pieces in the queue including Pan pipes, an umbrella and a teddy bear.

Hidden Mickey Found	While in line for Peter Pan, look for the seventh post while walking up the ramp to the loading area. There's a Mickey on the post about halfway up. CONFIRMED: It's at the last left turn in the queue, when you're closest to the ride opening. The posts are right next to each other.

Other Hidden Character: PETER'S SHADOW Found	Just before turning right to the final row of the switchbacks, Peter Pan's Shadow is on one of the wooden posts in the queue. It's on the left of the queue, about 6 feet off the ground.

Other Hidden Character: DISNEY Found	This is not a Hidden Mickey but on Peter Pan's Flight in the children's bedroom, there are some alphabet building blocks stacked up on the floor (one group is by Wendy's bed, the other by the window as you exit the room). These blocks spell DISNEY. UPDATE: The "S" is actually an upside down number 5.

Other Hidden Character: P PAN Found	As you enter the ride, there are alphabet building blocks on the floor, and when you're facing them straight on, they spell "P PAN".

Other Hidden Character: PETER PAN Found	Once you are in your ship, and it takes off, and you enter the Darling nursery. As soon as you are up, you make a hard turn to the left. If you are sitting on the right (or if you are really friendly with the person sitting there!) Look straight down as you make that turn. Those children's blocks that seem to be placed at random spell out "Peter Pan" when viewed from above. As the ride continues, sit back and enjoy: this is the best ride at the park! UPDATE: In reference to the blocks spelling things on Peter Pan, while several "PAN"s have been reported, everyone missed the full "PETER PAN" that is there. It's on the left (as you ENTER) wall. Peter is there. It took me a couple glances to find it, cause the letters are a bit strewn, but it is there.

Unknown	When you fly into London there are clouds no the wall. Look closely and there are 2 Hidden Mickey's side by side. They are clear as day. There are no doubts about this one. I have had several of my friends see it also.

Unknown	As you're flying over London you will see the moon off in the distance, three of the craters are set up in Mickey's shape. CONFIRMED: The craters are way too dark to be natural, and they also are much larger than the craters we see on the moon when we look out the window at night! UPDATE: When you are flying over London in Peter Pan's Flight when you are leaving london if you look to the left just a little bit up you will see a moon with three black craters making Mickey Mouse's head.

Hidden Mickey Found	On the Peter Pan Ride, when you fly over London, look at Big Ben. When you first enter, wait until you have gone to the opposite side on the "back" of Big Ben. Look in the windows and you will see, very clearly, the entire body of Mickey.

Hidden Mickey Found	My sister is a Cast Member at Disneyland and she told me about the REAL Hidden Mickey of Peter Pan's Flight. As you go into the room where there is the big Pirate Ship, look down. There are three cannonballs on the floor of the ship that make a Hidden Mickey. It is upside down, but you can't miss it. CONFIRMED: When you're flying over the pirate ship, look down to the right at the cannon balls. From two directions they form Mickey's head. UPDATE: They're against the red post, behind Mr. Smee.

Hidden Mickey Found	In the line, if you look up in the rafters right before you go through the turnstile, you will notice three red berries in the shape of a Hidden Mickey. CONFIRMED: There are some rafters with berries drawn on them. The rafters are located just after the boarding area of the ride. Look carefully at some of the berries, and some are in groups of 3 and form a Mickey face. (A Very Berry Mickey!) UPDATE: There's two sets of berries, one to the left and the other to the right.

Unknown	While waiting in line, inside the building, is a picture of Mr. Toad. He is large... and to the right of the cast member sitting down loading the ride. This large painting on the wall shows a Hidden Mickey in Mr. Toad's face. His eyes look like Mickey's ears and nose bridge looks like the top of a Mickey "hat". So I guess this would really be a Hidden Mickey Hat!

Unknown	While waiting in line outside, you walk by the large leaded-glass window in front of the ride. The Mr. Toad statue is there, waving. Look above the statue towards the ceiling. There are two curtains arranged in such a manner as to form a Mickey head. The large circular curtain in the middle is the head, and the bunched up curtain to the sides of the head is the ears. When you go inside, look at the curtains from the back. There is no logical reason for that large circular curtain to be hanging there in the middle; in fact, it appears as if the center curtain was added AFTER the side curtains. Looks deliberate to me!

Unknown	While standing in line in the queue, once inside, you pass by a statue of Mr. Toad. Look deep into his eyes... you'll see two Hidden Mickey's. They are Mr. Toad's pupils! CONFIRMED: I was in line for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and while I waited I was inside right by the Mr. Toad statue the one by the window and you could touch if you want to, but I was looking at it then I realized I was looking at a Hidden Mickey. If you look in the eyes of the statue, the white highlight in the pupil is painted clear as day as a Hidden Mickey.

Unknown	In the ride, there is a hologram of a Mickey head on the door. You will see the Mickey only in the dusk hours of the day. When you enter the ride you go through a set of doors and then you turn and come back out again. When you turn to go throught the second set of doors as you pass through them look in the lower right hand side of the right door. There in the corner is a small Mickey head put there by the imagineers during construction. This was one of the two that the imagineers placed in the park. I was shown this one from Mickey one of the cast members at the park. Have fun finding this one it is great!

Unknown	After you pass the toad statue on your left, you will make a u-turn to the right. Just as you get to the turnstile, look at the crew member running the ride. There is a flower bouquet to the right of the crew member. There are three white flowers in the middle of the bouquet in the shape of a Mickey head.

Unknown	In Mr. Toad's Wild Ride after you pass through the first room, you enter a small area where there's a statue of armor that will fall towards you. On each elbow, the armor is shaped like a sideways Mickey head!

Unknown	As the ride starts you can see a shadow of Mickey on either the left or right hand corner of the window. I want to double check this in "Mouse Tales: A Behind-The-Ears Look at Disneyland" because I know it's a real one. I just wanted to let you know in case you see it before I find it. CONFIRMED: After you pass that falling knight in armor at the beginning you go through a door into a hall of weasels. Its on that door (the left of the 2 swinging doors), in the "glass" part, very bottom left: a perfect shadow profile of that mouse. He's very faded and small. I was shown it by a cast member after the ride broke and the lights were on. UPDATE: This is my new favorite Hidden Mickey. I'd been looking and looking for the Mickey on the window at the beginning, and I finally found him. The ride then broke down, and my brother and I had to walk back out the way we came. I was able to take a closer look, and it is awesome!

Unknown	I thought I saw a Mickey in the train headlights just before it runs you down and you go to hell. There is one large light(the head)and two smaller ones above it (the ears). CONFIRMED: On the Fantasyland Mr. Toad Ride there may be a hidden Mickey on the train that is about to hit you. I can't be sure though.

Alice In Wonderland

Wishful Thinking?	Just as you turn to get on the ride there's a big yellow mushroom its right in in the middle of the stem. CONFIRMED: I saw the hidden Mickey on the stem of the mushroom in line of Alice in Wonderland. It is in the last switch-back. It's were you can get the best look at the book at the top of the mushroom. The ears aren't connected but it's not that hard to put the ears together with the head. WISHFUL THINKING: The one on the stem of the big mushroom in front of the Alice in Wonderland ride is total Wishful Thinking. I looked at the stem and the circles are too far apart!

Hidden Mickey Found	When you get to the part where the cards are painting the roses red if you look down by his feet you will see a Mickey head made out of the paint drops. CONFIRMED: As you approach the cards painting the roses red, look by the card's feet on your left. Three paint drops on the floor make a hidden mickey. It is very obvious if you sit on the left side.

Wishful Thinking?	In the smoke from the caterpiller it is too small to notice at first but a second time on the ride I definatly saw it. WISHFUL THINKING? Someone reported a Hidden Mickey in the smoke of the Caterpillar's hookah on Alice in Wonderland. As the smoke goes up, a Mickey cloud comes up but it is too out of shape to consider it one when I was on the ride. It kind of looked like a messed up "Y".

King Arthur's Carrousel

Hidden Mickey Found	On the hindquarter of the horse covered with bells ("Jingles") there are three gems. They are in a perfect Mickey formation. It's pretty clear when your looking for it. There is one on each side. UPDATE: The photos show how Jingles has changed over the last 30 years since this Hidden Mickey was first reported.

Unknown	On Casey Jr. when you are looping back towards the patch work quilt and facing Cinderella's castle there are some houses near the pumpkin with high pointed roofs, and one has a blue facing with some "flowers" punched out. All are upside down, but the one in the middle is right side up and is a hidden Mickey. CONFIRMED: It is confirmed that that is a Hidden Mickey as it was pointed out to me by my trainer while she taught me how to drive the train.

Unknown	The pumpkin carriage on the drawbridge approaching Cinderella's castle seems the most obvious to me. The pumpkin itself is Mickey's head, and the two wheels make his ears. It's simply upside down.

Wishful Thinking	We may have found a Hidden Mickey on the Storybook Land Ride. It was hard to see, so we wan't someone else to look and let us know what they thought. As you pass through the Cave of Wonders, on the right side, there are 2 caves with jewelry. The second cave had a golden camel with holes in the neck possibly forming a Hidden Mickey. Unknown	On the Storybook Land Canal Boats ride, we asked a cast member if there were any hidden Mickeys on the ride. She told us that there is one where Cinderella's house is, but it is hard to find when it's dark. We rode the boats at night, (and on a rainy day) so we couldn't find it... CONFIRMED: Yes, in the Cinderella section on the Storybook Land Canal Boats there is a hidden Mickey. If you look at all of the houses in that scene you'll notice that they have three circles in the shape of an upside down Mickey, on one of the houses the circles are rightside up-with a big circle and two on top for the ears. You can't see it at night because they don't have it lit up, but during the day it's easy to see.

Unknown	As you enter the cave of wonders, in the first treasure trove on the cast member's right there is gold vase. Near the bottom of the vase is a Mickey-shaped diamond. It is hard to see until you are slightly past the trove so just keep looking back.

Unknown	When a guest is taking a tour in the Storybook Land Canal Boats they forget to notice that here are hidden Mickeys. Well one that is very well hidden would be the one where Alice lives. When the boat makes a turn from the Three Little Pig's homes a little english village. A guest will first locate a water mill thinking that the water is Alice's home, it's not. Follow the stone walkway up abd then there is a church, then following down is Alice's home. Just following the stone walkway down south it leads a guest's eyes to the hole of the white rabbit. All through the direction of the village and story of Alice in Wonderland there a guest can see, without noticing, the hidden mickey. The church and Alice's house are the ears and the water mill is the nose, but all through it the walkway is drawing out the outline of the side view hidden mickey head.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Hidden Mickey Found

This one is spotted at "Dumbo's Flight". If you look up at the decorations on the ride while you are standing in line you will see a circle with a stork carrying a baby. The baby blanket is purple, and so is the head and feet of the baby! It makes a Hidden Mickey. The head, the body and the feet all make a hidden mickey face. Check it out next time you are in that hour long wait for the ride. CONFIRMED: I went on the Dumbo ride in Fantasyland and looked up at the stork. The little baby he carries around looks a lot like a hidden Mickey. The feet and head are exactly the same size and the part that forms the larger circle is in the little sack, but still noticeable. A perfect example of a hidden mickey, in my opinion. UPDATE: I asked a Cast Member whether she thought this was a Hidden Mickey, and her reaction was, "OH MY GOD!". Even the Cast Members are caught off guard at times!

Unknown	When waiting in line for the Matterhorn you notice that the pillars of the building have different coats of arms. They also appear in the center of the building (on the outside) where both sides of the line enters the building. On the second coat from the Fantasyland side, there is a picture of a key. At the bottom, the key curls around into the Mickey shape. There is another coat with a key on it, but it doesn't form the Mickey.

Unknown	A red & white crest displayed along the Matternhorn queue, features a tiny Hidden Mickey in black paint. There are two versions of the key crest, one at the ride's main entrance and one in the Fantasyland-side (right) queue. The little Hidden Mickey can only be found on the second crest, the one in the queue. Although the key's bow/head is reminiscent of a Classic Mickey, the actual Mickey is painted onto the base of the key's stem in black. UPDATE: It's on a red triangle at the bottom of a white pole.

Unknown	To view this Mickey you must ride the left side of the Bobsleds. After the ride is over, when in the unloading area, before stepping out of the bobsleds, look down and to your left. Underneath the track there is a small, unidentifiable, dark grey panel. There is a blatanly looking Mickey printed in white circles on this panel. You might have to look closely but be watching for it and you can't miss.

Other Hidden Character: NEMO Found	If you exit the ride from the left (Tomorrowland) side, there's a Hidden Nemo on the side of a wooden electrical box. It's at the entrance to a small alcove. CONFIRMED: It's the alcove entrance to the far left, and the box is about 3-4 feet tall. It's been eroded over the years due to sun and rain, but it's still visible.

It's A Small World

Unknown	On the outside right side of the building, there's a wall with a huge gold circle on it. Some shapes are cut from the circle and you can see the tree or bush behind it. If you look at the upper left corner of the circle, you'll see a small Hidden Mickey: his ears are gold and his face is green (because his face is a cut-out circle and you can see the tree or bush behind it).

Hidden Mickey Found	As one stands in line for It's A Small World, look at the three round towers in which the ride operators sit. You will see a round, large-diameter tower in the center (on the right as you are in line) and two, round smaller-diameter towers to the left (the ears). If you stand on the hills to the right of It's A Small World (you must get permission from a CM to do this) you will see a giant hidden Mickey made from the three round towers. I didn't get a chance to measure the "face" but the "face" with the "ears" together are approximately 15 feet across. CONFIRMED: I was a cast member at Disneyland as well as a ride operator on It's a Small World and can confirm that the hidden Mickey that is made from the two ride operators are the ears and the captain's tower as we called it was the face of Mickey Mouse.

Unknown	I was on the ride, solely looking for Hidden Mickeys and I think I succeeded. It is in the second or third room on the ceiling. It is where there is a balloon, or a carpet flying around. The shadows on the ceiling above this make a very distinct shape, that looks very much like our old pal Mickey. The shadow is a front view: just the ears and a face.

Unknown	Toward the end, in a room reminiscent of an underwater scene, look to the right, next to the mermaids, where imaginary bubbles rise up the wall. These bubbles are actually made of light circles, but one in every fifty or so is a Mickey-head shape. I asked several cast members after the ride and they said it was a hidden Mickey. CONFIRMED: I asked one of the cast members where the Mickey was and they told me that it is in the bubbles behind the mermaids. CONFIRMED: In the South Seas behind the mermaids in the bubbles that go up on the right side of the girls...there's a Mickey but he's upside down.

Unknown	While you are in the India room and you are half to 3/4 of the way thru it...Look to the left and there is a screen with a dancing lady on it. The dancing lady on the screen goes thru a sequence of being very bright at first...and then fades slowly to the beat of the song until it is just a shadow against the screen and the the shadow makes up a hidden Mickey. All you have to do is keep your eyes on the dancing lady! CONFIRMED: There is a faded tri-circle HM in the India room. The dancing lady is on a screen that is the front of a temple that every so often fades and displays the Mickey.

Unknown	In the International Room (the last one) there are several dolls on the left as you enter the room. The third doll is wearing what used to be called a "poodle-skirt", yet this one is a Mickey instead. 3 fuzzy green balls in that famous pattern. This was seen by my sister.
