| New Orleans Square is a themed land based on 19th-century New Orleans, Louisiana. The roughly three-acre area was the first land to be added to Disneyland after the park's opening, at a cost of $18 million. It is exclusive to Disneyland, although a similarly themed area can be found within Adventureland at Tokyo Disneyland. New Orleans Square was opened to the public on July 24, 1966, with New Orleans Mayor Victor H. Schiro participating in the dedication ceremony. Schiro announced Walt Disney had been made an honorary citizen of New Orleans; Disney joked that the addition cost as much as the original Louisiana Purchase. The opening ceremony was Disney's last major public appearance at Disneyland before his death in December 1966. |

| Unknown | In front of the bathrooms in New Orleans square (the in back, by the train station) are buildings with fake upstairs apartments. One of these apartments has a balcony with black curtains hung on the rails. On this balcony, on the right as you look at it, is a small metal end table. The pattern cut into the table are Mickeys. | |

| Unknown | Chowder bowls in sourdough are served as Hidden Mickeys, with the ears being two pieces of bread ripped in half. DECOR: The bread bowls at the cafe are adververtised as Mickey Head Bread Bowls. That therefore disqualifies them as "Hidden Mickeys". UPDATE: I've not seen the phrase "Mickey Head Bread Bowls" on menus at Disneyland. I agree this is decor if the menus explicitly say that ... | |

Blue Bayou Restaurant
| Unknown | As you wait outside at the Blue Bayou there are a few stained glass window directly above the doors to Blue Bayou. In the stained glass is a picture of an urn and right above that, at the top of the widow, in small round pieces of glass is a hidden Mickey. It's much easier to see from the inside, looking at the glass as the light from the outside comes through it. Mickey's ears are made of green glass while his face is made of red glass. This was pointed out to me by a Blue Bayou waitress who has been there 13 years. UPDATE: Today while waiting to eat at the Blue Bayou Resturant, I was excited to notice 6 hidden Mickey's! You will see them best if you step inside the waiting area, turn around and look up at the stain glass windows. In the top/center in each window is a Hidden Mickey. On the bottom/center is another one, but upside down. CONFIRMED: Outside the Blue Bayou restaurant above the doors, in the stainedglass windows,is round pieces of stained glass in the design making up Mickey heads. The ears were one color and the head another. Green and blue I believe. I could see them while standing outside the restaurant while waiting to make a reservation. | |

| Unknown | There is a hidden Mickey just inside the Blue Bayou in the waiting area. There is a wooden "curio" cabinet with Blue Bayou merchandise inside it. This cabinet has a glass viewing door, this glass has an etched motif around it; if you look at the motif you will notice that they design is all Mickey heads!!!! Lots of them. CONFIRMED: The outer edges of the souvenir display case in the Blue Bayou waiting area are definitely decorated with etched Mickey heads. | |

| Unknown | While waiting for dinner at the Blue Bayou, I looked in the wall cabinet holding items that they sell. On the shelf next to the bottled Mint Julip was a hidden Mickey. A blue coin was the head,a gold coin was the left ear and a silver coin was the right ear. | |

| Hidden Mickey Found |
If you look at the tile work on the floor at the south doorway of the shop "Cristal d'Orléans", you will see a "Hidden Mickey". All 5 of us viewed it.

| |
| Unknown | As you step outside of the shop, to the left and above the archway, where the bands come down the stairway, you see two cornicopias with fruit or vegetables falling out of them. Follow down to the last three vegetables, and both sides form hidden Mickeys. | |

Royal Street Veranda
| Unknown | When you order soup, they place it so the breadbowl forms Mickey's head, and the piece that they cut out is cut in half, and the two pieces are placed next to the breadbowl to form the ears. CONFIRMED: Order the clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. When the cast members pull out the middle of the loaf to make room for the soup, they rip the wad of bread in half, and put both halves above and on either side of the main bowl. The bowl is the head, and the two pieces of bread are the ears. I pointed this out to one of the cast members once, and she just smiled, winked at me, and said, "I don't know what you're talking about. Have a nice day!" | |

Club 33
| Unknown | The newly redone Trophy Room, now called the Disney Room, in Club 33 has at least one Hidden Mickey. First, in a case is a non-hidden Mickey in the form of an old plush Mickey. Behind that plush is a film canister -- with two smaller canisters attached to it in just the right place and proportion to make ears. Also, there are various pictures on the wall -- one of them is the one of Walt leaning against his hand in a doorway, with his shadow being Mickey. There are probably more... | |

| Unknown | In Club 33 there is a flower arrangement on the main mantel. The vase is very bulbous and the arrangement are two spherical twig arrangements (one on each side like mouse ears). I asked a CM about it and they just said "what's a hidden Mickey?", smiled and walked off. | |

| Wishful Thinking | The four corners of the hearse have decorative work in the shape of three circles forming Mickey heads. CONFIRMED: The hearse outside in the front yard does have hidden Mickeys on the corners. UPDATE: It's hard to determine whether that's a hidden Mickey or not on the hearse. But it's not Brigham Young's. If you happen to see the Mansion special with young Kirk Russel and Donny Osmond they go behind the scenes and you will see Imagineers making it! Maybe it's modeled after it. WISHFUL THINKING: The hearse has been moved following the 2024 refurb, and I had a good long look at the corners. I don't see any Hidden Mickeys there. Not sure if this is a Lost Mickey or not, but I'll go with Wishful for now. | |

| Unknown | On the New Leota Tombstone at the Haunted Mansion, there are 2 hidden Mickeys. One in each corner under the face in the flowers. The middle of one of the flowers makes up the head and the petals above it make up the ears. Its the same on the other side but mirrored. | |

| Unknown | When approaching the front of the Haunted Mansion, look up to the left on the second floor veranda. In the corner of the veranda is mounted a telescope. In the end of the telescope eyepiece is a sillouette of Mickey! The telescope is tilted down, facing the winding walkways in front of the Mansion. I saw it in the daylight, so it may not be visible at night. When I mentioned it to the Tour Guide, she didn't believe me, and walked out to confirm it herself! WISHFUL: On the end of the telescope outside of the Haunted Mansion, although there is in fact a "silouette" as you may wish to call it, it does not form a hidden Mickey at all. In fact, it is just a hole in the end of the telescope. LOST: We visit Disneyland several times each year and have seen the hidden Mickey on the telescope on the second floor veranda. On our visit on 14 August 2001, the telescope was gone! | |

| Wishful Thinking | In the entry hall, right before you step onto the elevator (the "stretching" room), there is a mirror on the right hand side of the room as you are facing the elevator. The mirror is oval-shaped and framed in gold or brass. Near the top of the mirror is a leaf upon which there are three small flowers. The flowers seem to form a Hidden Mickey. WISHFUL: They're all the same size. LOST: We visit Disneyland several times each year and have seen the hidden Mickey on the telescope on the second floor veranda. On our visit on 14 August 2001, the telescope was gone! | |

| Unknown | My boyfriend and I were waiting to enter into the stretch room on the Haunted Mansion, when the person working the room told us that there was supposed to be a hidden Mickey somewhere around the mirror on the right side of the room, when you walk in. Well, a whole bunch of people, including my boyfriend and myself, decided to try to find it. Instead of finding the one we were supposed to find, I found a new one. Now, I am not sure that it is an intentional hidden Mickey, but everyone agreed with me that it was totally a Mickey head. It is located on the mirror on the right wall when you walk into the big room, waiting to get on the stretch rooms. On the top part of the mirror there is a hole carved out of it that is in the shape of an oval. The wall paper that is showing in the middle of the circle has a total Mickey head. The two ears are white lines that form upside down circles and the head is a big curve upward underneath, in the same kind of white color. | |

CONFIRMED: It's the one that is in the room right before you enter the elevator, there are candlestick holders on the wall. Get directly below a candlestick holder and look up. The round bases form a tri-circle Mickey. My kids saw it before I did.. goes to show what kids can see more of. CONFIRMED: In the first room you go into there are candles. The candles that are on the wall to the your right, if you go directly under them and look up at the bottoms of the candles they shape the outline of Mickey's head.

| Unknown | On the stretching paintings you can see on the alligator towards the bottom there are hidden Mickeys in his scales. You should also not the fact that the paintings are refurb'd periodically. | |

| Unknown | In the room with the changing paintings there is a hidden Mickey on the first painting on the arm of the love seat. CONFIRMED: While in the Haunted Mansion, in the hall of pictures, there is a picture of a lady who seated on a red chair. I believe it is the 2nd or 3rd picture, the one where she turns into some sort of creature (I can't exactly remember). On the arm of the right side of the chair, there is a hidden mickey. It is turned sideways. You naturally have to watch it for a few seconds before you see it. I tried to take a picture, but as you know, they don't come out very well. | |

| Unknown | Right after you step off of the elevator and you head down the hall to get into the buggy, you pass by a picture of a pirate ship that changes from old to new. If you look when it changes into the old pattern, you will see on the lower right sail a cutout of a Mickey head. It is somewhat bent but if you look at it a couple of times, you will confirm it is a hidden Mickey. | |

| Unknown | When you are waiting in line right before you get into the Doom Buggies, you will notice a wooden column on the right. It has some fleur-de-lis swirly thingys on it, and the swirls toward them bottom form near-perfect circles of a Mickey. The same columns are by the "staircase" that you go up when the ride first starts. | |

| Unknown | When you are in line to get in your Doom Buggies, if you look at the heads that look like they are following you, there is a hidden Mickey on one. On his tie holder - it is a perfect circle - It and the collar of his shirt makes the ears. | |

| Unknown | As you exit the elevators and walk past the heads with the eyes that follow you, you come across some cobwebs. They are on the right side, on the pathway before you go to the doom buggies. The very first set of cobwebs on the right. Anyway, in the cobwebs, you have to stare a minute, there is a very obvious Hidden Mickey. Granted the head part is a little oblong, in other words, not 180 perfect degrees. However, the ears are perfect, and the entire shape is a huge Mickey in the cobwebs. I believe it is intentional. I was with about 6 people and they all confirmed the Mickey head. CONFIRMED: It is to the left directly after you pass the heads that follow you. UPDATE: Right after you exit the elevators and walk past the busts that follow you, you approach a gigantic cobweb. The cobweb forms and entierly perfect Mickey. | |

| Unknown | Right when you get onto the ride (the cars) look to your left on the exit sign. There is a Mickey between the I and the T. We were told to look there by a cast member and sure enought there it was. CONFIRMED: On Haunted Mansion, you can infact see Mickey's head in between the I and T on the exit sign as soon as you start going up the stairs. A cast member we have grown to be friendly with showed it to us. Me and my two other friends sitting in the car with me both saw it. | |

| Unknown | There is an obvious Hidden Mickey formed in the first room after getting in the moving buggy but before the hall with the bulging doors. There are two knights on your right. If you look back at the one on the right from a straight on view, you'll find that the wall behind him is sculptured to form two Mickey ears and the knight's head serves as the Hidden Mickey head. It is extremely obvious once you look for it. | |

| Other Hidden Character: DONALD Found |
In the mansion Donald Duck's face is on back of a chair. CONFIRMED: If you look closely at the big blue lounge chair, you will find the only hidden Donald in the Park. The design on the back rest of the chair forms Donald's hat, and face. This is a fact, as it was told to me by a tour guide at Disney. UPDATE: The chair is right after the endless hallway, and to really see the face, you have to squint your eyes, because the design is abstract. UPDATE: This was described as the "only hidden Donald in the park", but that's not true -- there's also a hidden Donald found in the piano roll in Mickey's House.

Holiday or regular version, this hidden Mickey can still be seen: As you pass through the hallway, directly on the left-hand side of the floating candelabra (or Zero), there is a window with a curtain blowing in the breeze. Near the bottom of the curtain is a black mickey head patch that looks like it was sewn in. | Hidden Mickey Found |
In the ballroom birthday party scene, on the dining table the first place setting to the left of the birthday girl has a large dinner plate and two saucers just above and to either side of the plate arranged in the form of Mickey's head. This is the only setting on the table like this. It is the second setting from the right nearest to the doombuggies. UPDATE: I think by now just about everyone knows about the plates on the table in the Haunted Mansion at the Anaheim park. But, I was just there this Sunday (Jan. 29) and there was another set of plates arranged in a Mickey right next to the original Mickey plates. UPDATE: This is "Hidden Mickey 101". Sometimes, there are multiple Mickeys on the dining room table, but there's always at least one.

| Wishful Thinking? | One of the trees you see as you go backwards into the cemetery has a Hidden Mickey on it. It is one of the trees to the right, not one of the ones hanging down over you from the left. It has two eyes and a mouth which form a perfect Mickey. Just look to the trees on the right as you go down backwards, and you can't miss it.
CONFIRMED: As you enter the graveyard room, when you are turned backwards going down the hill, the hidden Mickey is in the first big tree on the right hand side as you are first turned around. There are three big circles that are lit up in the tree. The three circles form a hidden Mickey.

| Unknown | My husband and I spotted a Hidden Mickey on some tombstones in the Haunted Mansion. They are the ones towards the end of the ride. An easy one to spot is right in front of the Opera singer. It is upside down at the top of the tombstones. It's made up of some curlie cues.
CONFIRMED: The Hidden Mickey can be seen in the Haunted Mansion on the tombstones. They are near the opera singer. It is kind of dark so you might need a flashlight or else a good eye

| Unknown | Throughout the Haunted Mansion ride, there are ghosts that "rise" in the air. It's a looping hologram which can be seen in the graveyard, and near the end as all the ghosts rise from town. You can see Mickey on each and every one. As they start out (small) and rise in the air (getting bigger) for an instance you see a mickey shadow. What turns into they're eyes and mouth, starts as Mickey! | |

| Unknown | As I just began on the ride I noticed two hidden Mickeys. The first was on the side of the loading dock for exiting; if you turn around after you have passed it there is a clear tricircle etched into the wood. The second was under that dock, I saw a blurry yellow light of the tricircle. I'm not sure of the second one.
CONFIRMED: I also saw a blurry yellow light in the shape of the tricircle.

| Unknown | My Daughter and I went to Disneyland and we found one that no one has reported finding as of yet. It is when you first depart from the load/unload dock, to your right is a boat in the water. If you look at the center of the ships wheel, there is a hidden Mickey, plain as day. You have to kind of turn around to see it but it is there. | |

| Unknown | I don't know if it's accidental or not, but the nymphoea leaves in the water, just before passing the Blue Bayou restaurant form a definite Mickey (1 large + 2 small circles)
CONFIRMED: The lilly pads as you pass The Blue Bayou Restaurant some of them are definately hidden Mickeys, one large & two smaller ones.

| Unknown | At the beginning of the ride as you pass the Blue Bayou restaraunt, if you look to your left at the second house painted on the wall just before the old man in the rocking chair there is a sillouette of Mickey in the doorway or window pane. Its almost silly that it is that obvious!
CONFIRMED: When you approach the old man with his Banjo, look at the window on the front of his house. I believe it's the lower right one. It's dusty from the inside, but it looks like someone took their finger and made a Mickey by wiping away the (fake) dust.

| Unknown | Before you go down the first fall, look to the left side of the boat on the wall. There is a window with shutters. On the shutters (near the top) is the shadow of some leaves. They make a hidden Mickey. | |

| Unknown | After the refurbishment (took place about November 1999) they added hidden Mickey clouds after the second drop; look on the left side about 10:00 and through the caves there is "blue sky" and there is the most obvious hidden Mickey formed in the clouds.
CONFIRMED: Right after the Refurbishment Disney added Mickey Clouds To Pirates. I could swear I saw a Mickey In the sky

CONFIRMED: To the left of the boat, and on the bank of the river there is an arrangement of three gold plates that form an obvious Mickey head. One large plate forms the head and two appropriately placed smaller plates form the ears. I was hoping that we had found a new one..but found that we had to confirm ONE..my kids found this one also.

| Unknown | After the "storm room" there is a room on the left hand side, with a skeleton in a bed. To the left of the bed is a harpsichord. Roughly between the bed and the harpsichord is a chair at a table with a Hidden Mickey. The table is between the ride path and the chair. To the left in this picture, you can see bed covers (barely). To the right you can barely see the harpsichord. The chair is dead center. A crack runs straight down the center of this closeup picture. You'll find the Hidden Mickey on the very top of the back of the chair.
CONFIRMED: The hidden Mickey in the back of the chair in the bedroom scene on Pirates is quite detailed - I'm surprised that more people haven't confirmed it.

| Unknown | On Pirates of the Caribbean, in the room where the Skeleton is sleeping on the bed, to the right of the bed is an old wooden table or desk. When you start passing the desk look back and right in the center of the desk below the top of it is a wooden Silhouette of a Hidden Mickey. When the light is in the right spot you'll see it. I saw it with my own eyes 10 times. | |

| Unknown | After the drops there is a "mystic" pirate flag image projected within one of the caverns. My daughter even pointed out that the image somewhat had a hidden Mickey with the eyes making the ears and the mouth creating the body.
CONFIRMED: On the Pirates of the Carribean there is a Mickey. Not a tricircular one though. It is very distinctive. It is at a part where you see the skeleton pirates and you go through a dark cave with blue, green, and purple lights everywhere. There is a Skull and Crossbones flag that is casted on the rocks and the skull face looks just like mickey without hi very distinctive ears though. Go see it and see for yourself.

| Unknown | Just after you turn left at the storm scene with the first pirate chamber on your left, look down river toward the second treasure room. There are two gold plates on the wall in the background and a large six necked candle holder beneath and to the front them. The bottom arch of the candle holder and the two plates meet to form this Hidden Mickey head. Once you pass the first room, however, and enter the room with the objects, the perspective changes between the two plates and the candle holder and the effect no longer works. Of course the ears are still pushed together. I checked this effect twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things-confirmed by person sitting next to me.
CONFIRMED: The treasure indeed makes a hidden Mickey. I would always look twice for one there and not see it, but the angle is key -- it must be viewed from the first opening or the effect is lost.

| Unknown | Going into the "Captain's Quarters" where the dead captain is lying on his bed, there is the sign that says "Captain's Quarters", on this sign there is a small skull and crossbones under the words. Each four of the bones that make up the crossbones are Mickey heads. | |

| |
| Unknown | I noticed on the ride and in this picture that the red and yellow fabric surrounding the captain is all circles. If you focus on one circle, the other circles form ears. Making multiple Hidden Mickeys, even though they are all the same size, the folding in the fabric makes them smaller. So from certain angles it's very visible. Wishful thinking? | |

| Other Hidden Character: GOOFY Found |
In the Captains Quarters there is a rock formation that reminds me of our pal Goofy! Is it really there or am I loosing it? It's big...you can't miss it.
CONFIRMED: The rock that hangs over the water on Pirates is actually called the Goofy Rock. It is meant to look like the head of Goofy.

| Wishful Thinking? | For just a second, as you round the bend to the second treasure hall, a huge Mickey appears, formed by two arches at the top of the cave, and a wide curve at the bottom. There is a pile of treasure that forms the top curve of Mickey's nose.
WISHFUL: The caves do not make up a Hidden Mickey. Many times did I look and could not see it.

| Unknown | You travel through a short, plain tunnel just before entering the scene with the pirate ship (on the left) firing upon a fort (on the right). As you float through the tunnel, before emerging into this scene, turn around and look on the ceiling above and behind you. A Hidden Mickey is outlined in the rock. | |

| Hidden Mickey Found |
In the first "live" pirate scene, where the ship is attacking the fort (the battle scene), there appears to be a Hidden Mickey formed by 3 cannon balls that hit the damaged wall on your right in the side of the fort. The holes the balls have made appears to be a Hidden Mickey. As the boat goes by the walls, look up at where the cannon are. There is a large hole with two smaller holes above it in the wall. It looks better at a slight angle than it does straight on. It is unique because you have to be at an angle to see this one ....not head on. Seen best just after you pass the ship and making the right turn.
| ||
| Unknown | Several times in the battle room several of my friends have noted an Hidden Mickey in the cycle of clouds moving in that imaginary sky.
CONFIRMED: There is a silloute of Mickey, you see it in the sky behind the pirate ship.

| |
| Unknown | As you leave the the scene where the ship is firing on the fort, the castle to the left has shadows of two men fighting. Imagineers have added shadows of pirates fighting on the wall. The shadows will, at one point, make a silhouette of a Mickey. It is the same fight that used to be in the town scene. He is the only priate with a spot light on him that makes a shadow in the whole scene. If you look at his hat, it has a real funny shape to it so you know that it was meant to be a hidden Mickey. | |

| Unknown | Just as you are leaving the fighting scene, and about to get to the dunking Carlos scene. Right between those two, are alot of Hidden Mickeys. If you look to the left, right after you pass the two guys fighting. To the left and up, there is a cabin. There is a round light bulb With a bunch of little hidden Mickeys on it. | |

| Other Hidden Character: GOOFY | The Pirates of the Carribean is open again after refurb. There are two cats mewing at a sitting pirate. The shadows of the cats merge into a Mickey as you float past them.
UPDATE: The cat's shadow don't form a Mickey, they form Goofy's head. It is reported in the other characters section and we saw it twice.

| Unknown | In the scene where Carlos is getting dunked in the well, there is a small dory on the right hand side of the boat flying a Jolly Roger. You have to be just past the mast to see it, but the bottom right-hand corner, where the end of the cross bone would be, makes a Hidden Mickey. | |

CONFIRMED: I confirm the lamp with the hidden Mickey's in the scene with the wenches for sale on the Pirates of the Carr.. If you look up and behind you on the balcony, you can see a circular lamp hanging down, and on it, there are many circles that make up hidden mickeys.

Notice it is on her right side it is hard to find but it is there.

| Other Hidden Character: PLUTO? GOOFY? | Here's the hidden Pluto, and I know it's not Mickey, but it's not fake either. It is located on two barrels on the right side of the boat midway through the ride. On top of the barrels are two black cats, standing with their backs arched. These cats are shined on with a spotlight, and their shadows form the silouhette of Pluto.
UPDATE: I have seen what they are talking and if anything it looks more like a Goofy. It's just a circle (shadow of the cats side) with two long droopy ears (shadow of the cats tails). I don't know... Maybe you should leave it on the Hidden Mickey pages even though it's not one.

| Unknown | Toward the end of the ride, just after the burning room, before you start up the last hill to round the bend to exit; you will see a roundish breast plate of armor, and two armor helmets flanking it.
CONFIRMED: This is the ultimate pirates hidden Mickey, a real, honest-to-goodness Imagineer-made hidden Mickey, and I can't believe it hasn't been noticed yet. While I had the fortune to be able to take a close-up photo (no, I am not and have never been a Cast Member), it is visible from the boat. Right before the final ramp up, on the left is a pirate laying on a cannon. Behind him are two chest plates, one silver (on the left) and one gold (on the right). The crest on the gold one has -- plain as day -- a Mickey head smack dab in the middle. See for yourself in the photo.

| Unknown | As you go through the jail scene, there are glowing logs on the right hand side, in front of the cell. as you begin to pull away, if you look at the front log in the center, you can see a hidden Mickey in the firey ash. I know it's there; I've seen it several times! | |

| Other Hidden Character: SID CAESAR | There is a hidden Sid Ceasar. Near the end of the ride when there are some people in the jail. The man closest to the dog is the spitting image of Sid Ceasar. I wouldn't report this unless it was as obvious as it is.
CONFIRMED: In the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, one of pirates trying to lure the dog with the key is the likeness of Sid Caesar. Sid was the friend of one the Pirate Imagineers and a great Disneyland fan, so they modeled a pirate after him as a joke. That fact was located in one of the "about disneyland" books that is sold in the gift shops. I bought my book with this fact in 1999.

| Unknown | I can't believe no one has noticed this!! In the room with the dog holding the key to a cell with pirates in it, one of the pirates is holding a rope with three loops. When the biggest loop is lowered as far as it goes, the three loops form our friend!! | |

| Unknown | At the end of the ride just before you go up the ramp if you look behind the pirate with the big hat you can see another hidden Mickey, he has on the same shaped hat as the first pirate in the ship.
CONFIRMED: Just before you go up the ramp at the end of the ride, you come upon the final gun battle between the pirate captain, his first mate, and some unknown man firing his gun while riding a cannon. The captain is wearing the SAME hat as in the "battle scene" Hidden Mickey -- and the Imagineers have strategically placed a spotlight on his head in such a manner that the SAME Hidden Mickey is displayed on the back wall. While you're under the collapsing wood structure, look to the right of the captain. You'll see the shadow of his hat, and it looks identical to the shadow of his hat on the sail in the battle scene.
